| American Independence - that's the name and topic of this pewter plate. It's 8.5" in diameter, and was produced by Sebastian between 1973-1976. It's a Bicentennial commemorative pewter plate whose center depicts the Spirit of '76. Around the edges are scenes which shows Paul Revere's ride, the Lexington Minutemen, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the encampment at Valley Forge, and Washington crossing the Deleware. The plate's reverse bears a remarkably detailed microminiature casting of the Declaration of Independence, including all signatures. It's been discontinued forever, and it books at between $60 and $110. It's being offered here for only $50. |
